poem - Ode, or Simply

In Your presence,
i am
            who You made me
            right now

i am kneeling
and i forgot my knees
i am gazing
and i forgot my gaze

The hurts,
the regrets
the past
peels away
and i am with You –
simply in Your presence

The fears,
the wishes
the future
dissipates
i am with You now –
just me
You command
            my being

and stillness

Your glory radiates
and fills me
so that there is
no choice involved –
i am in Your presence
and i love You;
there is no separation.

This is why i love to be with
You, Lord.
There is nothing happening outside.
You have made time to
stand still.
You have shown me peace
            it exudes me now –
peace.
i enter the sanctuary
and You smile, saying,
“Peace
be with you.”
And i fall to my knees
in Your presence.

amen.
