April 12, 2006

i knelt before You on an injured knee
i sang to you and cried for You
and strained to hear You speak.
You kissed my soul in Holy Sacrifice
You covered me with love
You smiled as i sang to You.

Your angels held me up tonight
and hugged me as I climbed.
The moon reminded me of You –
            ever-present, wondrous light.

i watched the stars dance at Your Name,
flying and burning and breathing for You.
They looked like fireworks
set off by the saints.
