Dear Jesus,

i am so amazed at Your Love.
i am so amazed that i can be so confident
of endless mercy
from You.

For though You are God,
You came to us,
who are stained by sin,
and did not simply take on our flesh

You were born one of us.
You lived as one of us.
You died as one of us.

And how can we repay You, o God?
For we have torn Your Flesh
ripped Your Dignity
parched Your precious Lips
from which poured forth the Kingdom

We have pierced Your Heart
spat on You
and stabbed Your healing Hands.

How much more
could we have done?

we,
whom You love with all
Your perfect Heart and Soul
Mind, Strength, and Spirit,
Body, Blood, and Divinity
we betrayed You,
o God

and still,
forever,
You forgive.
